New Delhi. India’s experienced wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul has been deeply affected by the ‘Coffee with Karan’ controversy. Rahul said that he was very scared by this and this incident changed him a lot. KL Rahul and his fellow Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya faced nationwide outrage after making comments about women on Bollywood director Karan Johar’s ‘talk show’ 5 years ago. The comments made on this show created an uproar on social media. Due to which both the players were suspended before the ODI series against Australia.
KL Rahul said in a podcast with Nikhil Kamath, ‘This interview was a different world. It changed me. Changed me completely.’ Apart from Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon, singer Badshah was also included in this podcast. Rahul said, ‘I was very shy and soft-spoken since childhood. Then while playing for India, my confidence increased a lot. I had no problem with groups of people. If there were 100 people in a room, everyone would know me because I would talk to everyone.’

‘This never happened to me’ According to KL Rahul, ‘Now I don’t do this because that interview scared me a lot. Being suspended from the team, I was never suspended from school either. I was never punished in school. All this never happened to me. I did not know how to deal with it.’ Talking about his school days, Rahul said that he was never punished in school. He said, ‘I did small mischiefs in school, but never did anything that would get me expelled from school or my parents had to come. That was my first mischief and then you realize how bad it was.’
