New Delhi. The limited overs series between India and England will be played from 22 February. Both the teams will face each other in 5 T20 and 3 ODI matches. The series is being organized in India. Experienced batsman KL Rahul can be rested in this series. Rahul has requested for a break from BCCI. There is every possibility that Rahul will be rested in this series. However, Rahul will be available for selection for the Champions Trophy starting from February 19. India will play all its matches in Dubai while the remaining matches will be in the host country Pakistan.
A BCCI source told PTI on Thursday, ‘He (KL Rahul) has asked for a break from the England series, but he will be available for selection for the Champions Trophy.’ Indian batsmen performed disappointingly in the Test series in Australia but Rahul was one of the few batsmen who scored runs.
