A person from Kapurthala’s village Mewa Singh Wala died under suspicious circumstances in the Philippines. The victim’s family met Sant Balbir Singh and requested for help in bringing the body to India.

Bhajan Kaur’s daughter Kulbir Kaur said that her father died on 15 August 2024 in Manila, Philippines. Baldev Singh is pressuring her to give a 2 marla house in the village in exchange for sending the body back. According to Bhajan Kaur, the owner started ignoring her and did not even allow her to talk to her husband, due to which she lost contact with Kuldeep Lal. Widow Bhajan Kaur along with her family reached Nirmal Kutiya Sultanpur Lodhi and demanded Rajya Sabha member Balbir Singh Seechewal to bring back her husband’s body. Taking immediate action on which, a written letter was sent to the Ministry of External Affairs by Rajya Sabha member Sant Seechewal.
