Kangaroos will overpower Indian batting, cricketer who scored double century against Bangladesh played mind game

New Delhi. There are still two months left for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy to begin but Jason Gillespie has already started playing mind games against India. Jason Gillespie said that in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy
Australia’s bowlers will be too much for the Indian team which is ‘in great form’. Jason Gillespie points out that Australia has a quartet of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon, who have been performing well consistently.

Australia has failed to win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy after the 2014-15 season. India has won the last four Test series between the two countries. These include the series played on Australian soil in 2018-19 and 2020-21. This time the Indian team will go to Australia with the intention of making a hat-trick of victories. But Australia’s Gillespie believes that the bowling attack of the Kangaroos will not allow the Indian team to succeed.

Pakistan cricket team coach Jason Gillespie told ‘Fox Sports’, “I think Australia’s bowlers have the upper hand. They are Australia’s best bowlers. Their records tell the story of their success. Lyon’s presence makes this quartet very strong.”

Gillespie said, ‘The Indian team is in great form. It has been performing very well in Test matches for some time now. It has defeated Australia in the recent series. Despite this, I think Australia has a chance to defeat the Indian team this time.’ The five-match series between India and Australia will be played from November 22. This is the first time since 1991-92 that both teams will play a five-match series.

Jason Gillespie has played 71 Tests and 97 ODIs for Australia. He scored a double century in a Test match against Bangladesh in 2006. However, after the double century, he did not get a chance to play for Australia again.
