The controversies related to Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film Emergency are not ending. The film got certificate from the Indian Censor Board after many controversies, after which the film is going to be released on January 17. Now just 2 days before its release, the film has been banned in Bangladesh. If reports are to be believed, this decision has been taken due to the ongoing tense situation between India and Bangladesh.
ANI has quoted a source close to the film Emergency as saying, the screening of the film Emergency has been stopped in Bangladesh. The decision to stop emergency screening in Bangladesh has been taken due to the current strained relations between India and Bangladesh. This ban is less due to the content of the film and more about the political dynamic between the two countries.
One of the reasons for banning the film in Bangladesh is that the film depicts the assassination of freedom fighter and the first President of Bangladesh, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who is called the Father of Bangladesh. He played an important role in the partition of Bangladesh and Pakistan. It is heard that the film shows his murder being carried out by a group of Bangladeshi extremists, due to which its release in Bangladesh has been affected.
If reports are to be believed, former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had played an important role in separating Bangladesh from Pakistan. At that time the US government was supporting Pakistan. Indira Gandhi was asked by the US Government not to interfere in this matter, yet she supported Bangladesh. As a result, there was a war between India and Pakistan in 1971.
Let us tell you that the film Emergency is going to be released on January 17. This film is made on the tenure of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the Emergency imposed in 1975. Kangana Ranaut has played the role of Indira Gandhi in the film.
