Kamala Harris was praised a lot, while Donald Trump was reprimanded, what did former Foreign Minister Hillary Clinton say in the National Convention?

Chicago: The National Convention of the Democratic Party is going on in Chicago. Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is openly supporting her party’s presidential candidate Kamala Harris. On the other hand, she does not seem to be in the mood to spare Republican candidate Donald Trump. While she called Kamala a visionary, she called Trump a fugitive. She commented on Trump in such a way that, ‘We have forced him to run away.’ On the other hand, US President Joe Biden addressed the convention and appealed to the people to make Kamala Harris and Tim Walz win. He told the crowd of 50,000 people that Kamala and team should win for ‘freedom,’ ‘democracy,’ and ‘America.’

Former Secretary of State and former First Lady Hillary Clinton heaped praise on Vice President Kamala Harris at the Democratic Party’s National Convention in Chicago on Monday. She even said that Kamala has the character, experience and vision to take America forward. Addressing thousands of Democratic Party leaders and members across the country, Clinton said that both of us (Kamala and Clinton) started practicing law together. I know her honesty.

Clinton thanked thousands of Democratic leaders and members from across the country for making former lawyer and current US Vice President Kamala the Democratic candidate for the presidential elections to be held in November. It is worth noting that Clinton contested the 2016 presidential election. She was defeated by Donald Trump.

Some excerpts from his speech-

  1. ‘I know her heart and her integrity. We both started our early careers as lawyers helping children who were being abused or neglected. This kind of work changes you. Those children stay in your hearts and minds forever. Kamala is the hope of every child she protected, every family she helped, every community she served.’
  2. ‘So as president, she will always have our back. She will work day and night to reduce the daily costs of hard-working families. She will open new doors to high-paying jobs for every American. And, yes, she will restore abortion rights across the country.’
  3. ‘The story of my life and the history of our country is that progress is possible. But, there is no guarantee of it. We have to fight hard for it, we should not give up.
  4. ‘We always have a choice. We just have to choose whether we move forward or retreat? Come together as ‘We the People’ or we are in us versus them (Trump). This is the choice we have in this election. We have knocked him (Trump) out of the race.
  5. ‘Our Constitution says the president’s job is to “enforce the faithful execution of the laws.” Be careful who you’re with. Kamala cares about those kids, families, and America, but Donald Trump only cares about himself.

Clinton praised President Joe Biden for his “lifetime of service and leadership.” On Thursday, 59-year-old Kamala Harris will deliver a speech formally accepting the Democratic Party’s nomination as the presidential candidate for the November 5 election. Incumbent President Joe Biden, 81, withdrew from the White House race last month and endorsed Harris for the post. Kamala has received the support of Clinton, Biden as well as former President Barack Obama.
