Aamir Khan’s son Junaid has started his acting career with the 2024 film Maharaj. However, if Junaid is to be believed, before this he was going to be seen in Lal Singh Chaddha. The shooting of the film had also started, but he was later removed. Similarly, on the request of Kiran Rao, Sparsh Srivastava was cast in his place in the film Lapata Ladies.
Recently, in an interview given to Vicky Lalwani, Junaid Khan explained the reason for not being seen in Missing Ladies and Lal Singh Chaddha. He said, you could have possibly seen me in Laal Singh Chaddha. I auditioned him. Kiran Rao was playing the role of my mother at that time. We shot 7-8 scenes of the film. We shot for 4 days and shot a 20-minute portion. Papa (Aamir Khan) wanted to see how I deal with the material. But it did not work out. Actually, it was a big budget film to cast a new person.
Junaid Khan is the son of Aamir Khan and his first wife Reena Dutta.
Further, on not being able to work in Lapah Ladies, Junaid said, things were completely different with Lapah Ladies. I had auditioned for the film, but Kiran said that Sparsh Srivastava was better for that part and I agreed with her.
Aamir Khan also auditioned for Missing Ladies
Apart from Junaid Khan, Aamir Khan also auditioned for Missing Ladies. He was going to play the role of a policeman in the film. But Kiran Rao had cast Ravi Kishan in that role.
In an interview given to The Week, Kiran Rao had said, ‘Aamir and I had a long discussion on this character. I wanted Aamir to play the character of Manohar. Aamir had also given an audition for this role which was amazing but when I showed him the audition tape of Ravi Kishan for this role, Aamir himself said that this role suits Ravi Kishan more.
‘I think Ravi Kishan is a complete surprise in this character. Whereas Aamir has his own unique way of playing every character. However, Aamir later felt that he would not be able to do justice to this character. He himself told me that Ravi would play this character better.
Let us tell you that Junaid Khan made his acting debut in 2024 with Yash Raj Production’s film Maharaj. In the coming days, he will be seen with Khushi Kapoor in Loveyapa, which will be directed by Advet Chandan. Boney Kapoor’s daughter and Janhvi Kapoor’s younger sister will make her Bollywood debut with this film.
