Israel-Hamas War: Children are the biggest victims of a long-lasting war between two countries. At present, the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas has put the lives of the children of people forced to live in tents in Gaza in danger. Now there is news of the death of Sila, a three-week old baby who was forced to live in a tent in the harsh cold. This is the third case of death due to cold of a child living in tents in Gaza. The impact of war is not only due to external circumstances but also tells the story of the inner darkness of the young population.

This 21-day-old girl was with her father in a tent in Muwasi area outside Khan Younis city. The girl was kept wrapped in a blanket to protect her from the cold but she could not be saved. On Tuesday night, the temperature here was nine degrees Celsius. Cold winds were blowing in the tent and the ground was very cold. Father Fasih said that the girl Sila woke up crying three times in the night and in the morning they found that she was unconscious. His body had become stiff. They took him to a hospital where doctors tried to save him but his lungs had already stopped functioning.

Children feel that their death is somewhere near…

A recent study has revealed shocking results of the psychological impact it has on children there. 96% of Gaza’s children feel that their death is very close, while 49% feel that they should die themselves. The war between Israel and Hamas has been going on for the last 14 months, which has caused massive destruction in Gaza. More than 45,000 Palestinians have been killed in Israel’s bombings and ground attacks on Gaza. More than half of these are women and children. Gaza has a population of about 23 lakhs, but about 90 percent of the people have had to be displaced not once but many times.
