Bangladesh’s legendary all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan had announced his retirement on Thursday. He had said that he would say goodbye to Test cricket after the home series against South Africa. South Africa has to tour Bangladesh in October.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) immediately responded to Shakib Al Hasan’s desire to play in the country. BCB President Farooq Ahmed said that the cricket board cannot guarantee the safety of Shakib Al Hasan. The board cannot provide personal security to any player. The safety of the players is the responsibility of the government. Let us tell you that a case of murder has been registered against Shakib Al Hasan in Bangladesh.

Recently, after the protests in Bangladesh, the then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had to resign from her post. He also had to leave the country. Rubel Islam was killed during the protest.
