IND vs BAN 1st test: Rohit-Virat-Shubman… all three giants returned to the pavilion within an hour, Bangladesh’s ‘Lambu’ hunted them down

New Delhi. India had a bad start in the first test match against Bangladesh. Indian captain Rohit Sharma returned to the pavilion after scoring just 6 runs. The situation of Shubman Gill, who came to replace the captain, was even worse. Shubman Gill returned to the pavilion without opening his account. Virat Kohli also could not stay on the wicket for long and got caught by wicketkeeper Liton Das. These three batsmen of India were sent to the pavilion by Hasan Mahmud.

The first test match of the two-match series between India and Bangladesh is being played in Chennai. When Bangladesh won the toss and decided to field first, Indian veterans like Ajay Jadeja and Akash Chopra expressed surprise. But as soon as the match started, it seemed that Bangladesh’s decision to bowl first was working. The visiting team sent three Indian veterans to the pavilion within 50 minutes. After the first hour, India’s score was 36 runs for 3 wickets. Sports 18 commentator Ravi Shastri clearly said that the first hour was in Bangladesh’s favor.

Rohit Sharma got a ‘lifeline’
India suffered the first blow when captain Rohit Sharma was out. Rohit Sharma got caught in the slip on Hasan Mahmood’s ball in the sixth over of the match. The interesting thing is that Rohit had got a ‘lifeline’ one over before. On the appeal of LBW on the same ball of Hasan Mahmood, the umpire had declared Rohit Sharma not out. However, the TV replay showed that the ball was hitting the stumps. Rohit survived only because the umpire had declared him not out. That is, the umpire’s call saved Rohit. Rohit could not take advantage of this ‘lifeline’ and was out in the very next over.
