New Delhi. Rohit Sharma is not a part of the playing XI in the fifth Test match being played between India and Australia. He decided to give a chance to other players and kept himself out. Shubman Gill got a chance in place of Rohit Sharma but he also flopped and returned to the pavilion. In such a situation, there was no benefit of Rohit Sharma being out of the playing XI.

Shubman Gill was batting well but he was out after scoring 20 runs. He faced 64 balls to score 20 runs. He lost his wicket in Nathan Lyon’s over. On the last ball of the 25th over, Gill was caught by Steve Smith standing in the slip on Nathan’s dangerous ball and lost his wicket.

The third test was a draw due to rain.

Jasprit Bumrah is captaining the team in the 5th test match. Akashdeep is injured and Prasidh Krishna has been given a chance in his place in the team. India is behind 1-2 in this series.
