New Delhi. Veteran Indian cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara has advised Rohit Sharma to bat at number three in the second Test match against Australia. Rohit Sharma was able to play in the first test played in Perth. India made KL Rahul the opening partner of Yashasvi Jaiswal in the first test match. Yashasvi scored a century in the second innings while Rahul scored a half-century. Pujara says that in the day-night test to be played in Adelaide, KL Rahul should be sent to open along with Jaiswal.
In the absence of Rohit Sharma, Rahul batted at the top order instead of the middle order in the first Test in Perth. Pujara, who has been the backbone of Indian batting on the last two tours of Australia, believes that there should be no change in the opening pair after the 295-run win in the first Test. Jaiswal scored a century in the first test while Rahul played innings of 26 and 77 runs.
The cricket world is in shock… Came out to bat in the opening, got severe pain in the chest, and the batsman died a painful death.

Pujara demanded not to change the batting order
Pujara told ESPN Cricinfo, ‘I think there should be no change in the batting order. KL and Yashasvi should open the innings and Rohit would be at third position while Shubman would be at fifth position. If Rohit wants to open the innings, then KL should come at number three. But not below that. I think he should enter the top order because it suits his style.
Shubman Gill can play day night test
Gill, who was out of the first Test due to a thumb fracture, will play the day-night Test to be held in Adelaide from December 6. Pujara said, ‘Gill should come at number five because it will give him time. Even if two wickets fall quickly, he can play the new ball well. After this he can play his shots in the 25th or 30th over. He can come if three wickets fall quickly and Rishabh Pant will be there for the old ball. Pant will not have to play the new ball. The Indian team is ahead 1-0 in the 5-match Test series.
