Kanpur. The Indian team will enter the second test in Kanpur with the intention of making a clean sweep of Bangladesh. The curator of Green Park said on Wednesday that the pitch would be ideal for the second Test between India and Bangladesh. Which will help the fast bowlers in the first two sessions and the spinners in the last three days. Jasprit Bumrah took four wickets in the first innings of Chennai Test while Ashwin took 6 wickets in the second innings. The Curate’s statement before entering the Kanpur Test has increased the concern of Bangladesh.
The second test will start from Friday. Curator Shiv Kumar told PTI, “It will have the feel of a match in Chennai. There will be something for everyone. There will be bounce in the first two sessions and it will be very good for batting in the first two days. Then the role of spinners will be important in the last three days.
India defeated Bangladesh by 280 runs in the first test in Chennai. As usual, black soil for the green park pitch has been procured from a village near Unnao, which is 23 km from Kanpur. Pitches made of black soil traditionally help spinners while red soil helps fast bowlers. The pitch is expected to be slow.
An official of Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) said, “We get this soil tested by the Indian Institute of Technology. This is a special soil which is found near a pond of black soil village. We have been bringing black soil from the village for years.
UPCA has decided to significantly reduce the use of plastic during the second test to keep the environment clean. UPCA has banned plastic plates for serving ‘snacks’ inside the stadium and only paper plates will be allowed. Stadium director Sanjay Kapoor said, “This is a match to be held in the Green Park and we are trying to make it a ‘green’ match. We have decided to use as little plastic as possible.
