Thousands of people are forced to live without electricity. According to the National Hurricane Center (Miami), the center of the storm has reached Great Inagua Island. Due to this, the possibility of the situation in the coastal areas getting worse in the coming times has increased. There is a possibility of widespread devastation in other parts of the southeast Bahamas as well. Generally two to 4 inches of rain and at some places up to 6 inches of rain is expected.

Chances of heavy to very heavy rain in Cuba

According to the forecast of the National Hurricane Center, Cuba may receive 5 to 10 inches of rain by Tuesday. There is a possibility of rain of up to 15 inches at some places. Hurricane Oscar gained speed off the Bahamas coast on Saturday and then crossed the Turks and Caicos Islands and reached the southeast Bahamas. At present, Hurricane Oscar is located about 240 kilometers away from Guantanamo, Cuba.

Last week, lakhs of people were without electricity for 48 hours. There was some improvement in the situation on Saturday.
