Bollywood actress and MP from Mandi seat of Himachal Kangana Ranaut has expressed her pain over the release of the film ‘Emergency’. Kangana has posted a video on her X account. He wrote that, because of some small and select people in Punjab regarding his film.

Kangana said that the fire has been set by small people and we all have been involved in it. He said, it was said in the industry that his films performed best in Punjab. But today his film is not even being allowed to release.

People are also being attacked in Canada and Britain. She says that what she thinks about the country is reflected in this film.

Ban on emergency release in Punjab

Let us tell you that the film Emergency was released last Friday. But Sikh organizations in Punjab are opposing it. Due to this the release of the film has been stopped. The film was not shown in any theater in the state. This film was to be shown in 70 to 80 theaters of PVR Group, after the protests the film was not shown in these theatres.

SGPC accused of hurting the sentiments of Sikhs

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has accused the film of tampering with historical facts and hurting the sentiments of the Sikh community. SGPC chief Harjinder Singh Dhami also wrote a letter to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann on Thursday. In the letter, Dhami had said- ‘Emergency’ should be banned in Punjab. The film’s portrayal of the Sikhs and their struggle during the Emergency of 1975 does not match history and is creating a wrong image of the Sikhs.

Dhami alleges that the sacrifice and contribution of Sikhs were ignored in the film. They were shown negative. Respecting the sentiments of Sikhs, the film release should be stopped in Punjab.
