There is a fall in the prices of gold and silver today i.e. on 18th September. According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold fell by Rs 222 to Rs 73,054 on Wednesday. Earlier its price was Rs 73,276 per ten grams.

On the other hand, silver has fallen today. It has fallen by Rs 369 to Rs 87,168 per kg. Earlier, silver was at Rs 87,537. This year, gold has reached an all-time high of Rs 74,222 per 10 grams in May. On the other hand, silver had reached Rs 94,280 per kg on 29 May.

According to IBJA, the price of gold has increased by Rs 9,702 so far this year. On January 1, gold was at Rs 63,352, which has now reached Rs 73,054 per 10 grams. At the same time, the price of one kg silver has increased from Rs 73,395 to Rs 88,028.

Gold can reach up to 78 thousand by the end of the year

According to Anuj Gupta, Commodity and Currency Head of HDFC Securities, gold and silver may see a rise in the coming days. This year, gold may reach Rs 78 thousand per 10 grams. Silver may also reach Rs 1 lakh per kilogram.
