The festival of lights Diwali and the great festival of sun worship Chhath are coming soon. On the occasion of both these festivals, people of UP-Bihar, who are settled in different parts of the country for livelihood, return to their homes. During this time, there is a lot of crowd in the trains, due to which it becomes difficult to get a confirmed ticket. Keeping this difficulty of passengers in mind, Indian Railways operates special trains every year. This time also, on the occasion of Diwali and Chhath, Railways has decided to operate 17 additional special trains in addition to the special trains. Here is a list of all those trains, so that you can easily plan your journey and reach your home safely.
Giving information in this context, CPRO Saraswati Chandra of East Central Railway said that during Diwali and Chhath festival, about 142 pairs of special trains passing through East Central Railway jurisdiction or originating from here are being operated. Additionally, 17 pairs and one one-way Puja special train will also be operated.

Train No. 04608 (Jammuthavi-Howrah Puja Special)
It will depart from Jammu Tawi at 8:20 pm on 30 October and 4 November 2024 and reach Howrah at 1:20 pm the next day. In return, train number 04607 (Howrah-Jammuthavi Puja Special) will depart from Howrah at 11:45 pm on November 1 and 6.
Train No. 04680 (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Kamakhya Puja Special)
It will depart from Katra at 6:40 pm on 28 October and 2 November 2024, reaching Kamakhya at 9 pm the next day. In return, train number 04679 will depart from Kamakhya at 6 am on October 31 and November 5.
Train No. 04662 (Amritsar-Saharsa Puja Special)
It will depart from Amritsar at 8:10 pm on 29 October and 3 November 2024 and reach Saharsa at 5 am the next day.
Train No. 04520 (Ambala-Darbhanga Puja Special)
It will depart from Ambala at 7 pm on 25 October 2024 and reach Darbhanga at 7 pm the next day.
Train No. 06055 (Coimbatore-Barauni Special)
It will depart Coimbatore at 11:50 am every Saturday from 26 October to 16 November 2024, and reach Barauni at 2:30 pm on Monday.
Train No. 09461 (Ahmedabad-Danapur Special)
It will depart from Ahmedabad every Saturday at 8:25 am from 26 October to 16 November 2024 and reach Danapur at 4:50 pm the next day.
Train No. 09011 (Udhna-Gaya Special)
It will depart from Udhna at 10 pm on 25 October 2024 and reach Gaya at 7 am the next day. In return, 09012 Gaya-Vadodara special will depart from Gaya at 10 am on 27 October 2024.
Train No. 09115 (Vadodara-Gaya Special)
It will depart from Vadodara at 12:45 pm on 29 October 2024 and reach Gaya at 7 am the next day.
