District coordinator of Child Helpline, Panne Singh, said that 16 years ago, a man from Amarsara village married a girl from Maharashtra. After that, they had a daughter. But there were frequent fights between the husband and wife. The accused man used to harass his wife by beating her. Later, he beat his wife and threw her out of the house and kept the daughter with himself.
The minor has been rescued
Now when his daughter turned 15, greed for money arose in the accused’s mind. He along with his younger brother made a deal to sell the daughter for Rs 3 lakh. But Child Helpline got this information from sources. On this, they contacted the Sandwa police station and discussed the whole matter and made a plan to save the girl. Before the transaction of money could take place in this case, Child Helpline rescued this minor with the help of the police.
