‘Dragon Drone’ the world’s most dangerous weapon? Everything can turn to ashes in a moment, no one can extinguish its fire…

New Delhi: It has been more than 2 years since the Russia-Ukraine war. In this war, both the countries attacked each other many times. But the weapon that Russia is now using is being used for the first time in any war. It is believed that this is the most dangerous weapon ever. A new deadly weapon is now flying in the sky in the Russia-Ukraine war.

Both sides have posted visuals of drones firing. This weapon has been named “Dragon Drone”. These drones are spewing molten metal which burns at 2,427 degrees Celsius. Dragon drones basically release a substance called thermite, a mixture of aluminum and iron oxide – which was developed a century ago to weld railway tracks.

What is ‘Dragon Drone’?
When the mixture of aluminum and iron oxide released from this ‘dragon drone’ is ignited (usually with the help of an electrical fuse), thermite triggers a self-sustaining reaction that is very difficult to extinguish. It can burn almost anything from clothing to trees and military-grade vehicles, and can even burn underwater. On humans, it causes severe, possibly fatal, burns and bone damage.

Al Jazeera quoted United Kingdom-based anti-war advocacy organization Action on Armed Violence (AOAV) as saying, “The combination of thermite with high-precision drones that bypass conventional defenses makes the Dragon drone ‘highly effective’ and Makes it ‘dangerous’.”

The Dragon drone is believed to have been first deployed in the Russia-Ukraine war around September. According to a report in The New York Times, Ukrainian forces used them “to burn vegetation used by Russian troops for cover, leaving them and their equipment open to direct attack.” Soon, the Russians also started producing and deploying their Dragon drones.
