Delhi Congress President Arvinder Singh Lovely Resigns Amidst Alliance Controversy

President Arvinder Singh Lovely has resigned from all the posts of the party. Lovely has sent his resignation to Congress President cin which he has mentioned all the things, Arvinder Singh Lovely said in a four-page letter to the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi. Lovely says that the Aam Aadmi Party was formed by blaming the Congress, then how can there be an alliance with it.

Now after the resignation of Delhi Congress President Arvinder Singh in the midst of Lok Sabha elections. However, Congress leaders say that Lovely has not resigned from the party but he has only resigned from his posts but Arvinder’s resignation has given a big opportunity to BJP. BJP has already been attacking the alliance of Aam Aadmi Party and Congress in Delhi.

After a long struggle, an alliance was formed between Congress and Aam Aadmi Party to compete with BJP in Delhi. However, Arvinder Singh Lovely has cited another reason behind his resignation in his letter. Lovely has also cited a senior Congress leader in his letter. It is being said that Lovely was having a rift with Delhi Congress in-charge and General Secretary Deepak Babaria and due to this, he has decided to leave the post of State President.

According to Lovely’s letter, After becoming Delhi Congress President, AICC General Secretary and Delhi Congress in-charge did not allow him to make any senior appointment in DPCC. Not only this, the leader for whom he had requested to be appointed as Media Chief of DPCC was also rejected. Lovely has also expressed displeasure over Congress being given only three Lok Sabha seats in Delhi and has also objected to fielding outside candidates like Kanhaiya Kumar and Udit Raj on these seats. The Arvinder Singh Lovely was elected on August 31 last year. He was handed over the charge of Delhi Congress. He remained on the post of Delhi Congress President for about 8 months.
