New Delhi. The Indian women’s cricket team has achieved a one-sided 3-0 victory in the ODI series by showing a spectacular game against the West Indies. After winning the first two matches, the team also won the third match. The entire West Indies team was reduced to just 162 in front of the ball wreaking havoc by Deepti Sharma and Renuka Thakur. While chasing the target, India also faced setbacks but after losing 5 wickets in 28.2 overs, the team completed the hat-trick of victory and made a clean sweep.
The West Indies team had to face another defeat against India in the 3rd ODI series. The entire team looked helpless and helpless in front of the deadly bowling of Deepti Sharma and Renuka Thakur. Shinelle Henry single-handedly faced the Indian bowling bravely and scored a half-century. He played an inning of 61 runs on 72 balls with the help of 5 fours and 3 sixes. Wicketkeeper Shamine Campbell played an important role in taking the team to a respectable score by playing an inning of 46 runs.
Deepti and Renuka eliminated
The pair of Deepti and Renuka wreaked havoc on the entire West Indies team. Both of them together divided all the 10 wickets among themselves. Deepti took 6 wickets for 31 runs in 10 overs while Renuka gave away 29 runs in 9.5 overs and gave way to 4 batsmen to make a comeback.
India won by 5 wickets
Chasing the target of 163 runs against West Indies, India did not have a good start but the last batsman saved the team’s honour. Smriti Mandhana and Harleen Deol, who showed strength in the first two matches, could not do much. Coming in the middle order, captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Jomima Rodriguez and Deepti Sharma handled the innings and took the team to the target of victory.
