Agency, Islamabad. India’s Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has gone to Islamabad to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference. Meanwhile, Pakistani media has claimed that cricket diplomacy was discussed between the foreign ministers of the two countries.
A Pakistani journalist has even claimed that S. After talks between Jaishankar and Pakistan Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, India has agreed to consider sending its team to the Champions Trophy.
According to Geo News, India has agreed to start discussions on the resumption of cricket. If this happens, it will be a big news for the cricket fans of both the countries, because the Indian team will be able to come to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy.
BCCI or PCB did not confirm
- There has been no official statement on this claim of Pakistani media. Apart from the governments, neither BCCI nor PCB has given any reaction.
- Indian news agency ANI quoted sources as saying that there was no discussion on cricket between the two foreign ministers.
- India’s stand is clear that unless Pakistan stops cross-border terrorism, it will not restore cricket relations.
