Land for job case, decision on Lalu-Tejaswi’s summons deferred, now hearing will be held on 7 September
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a supplementary chargesheet in the Land for Jobs case. A hearing on this was held today in the Special Court of Rouse Avenue, Delhi. The decision on the summons of 11 accused including Lalu, Tejashwi has been postponed. Now the hearing in this case will be held on 7 September.

Helicopter crashes in Paud area of Pune, pilot and three passengers injured
A private company’s helicopter going from Mumbai to Vijayawada crashed in Pune’s Paud area on Saturday. The helicopter had a pilot and three passengers on board. The pilot and three people were injured in the accident, although they are safe. This helicopter belonged to a global company in Mumbai. Supreme Court dismisses petition seeking cancellation of bail of accused in Gauri Lankesh murder case
The Supreme Court on Saturday (August 24) rejected the petition seeking cancellation of bail of the accused in the Gauri Lankesh murder case. The accused was granted bail by the Karnataka High Court on 7 December 2023. Gauri Lankesh’s younger sister Kavita Lankesh had challenged this order.
Dismissing Kavitha’s plea, a bench of Justices Bela M Trivedi and SC Sharma observed that the accused Mohan Nayak has cooperated with the trial court in the proceedings.
Journalist Gauri Lankesh was shot dead outside her residence in Bengaluru on September 5, 2017. Police have arrested 18 people in the case. Mohan Nayak was arrested on July 18, 2018.
Minor student sexually abused in Pune, 7 people including main accused PT teacher arrested
7 accused have been arrested in the case of sexual abuse of a minor girl student in a school in Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune. Pune Police said on Saturday morning that those arrested include the main accused PT teacher, the school principal, the school trustee and 4 others.
Police said that the PT teacher has sexually abused the student several times in the last 2 years. He has already gone to jail in a case under POCSO. Despite this, the school administration did not remove him from the post of PT teacher. Therefore, 6 other staff have been arrested on charges of negligence.
In fact, the minor girl’s father had informed about the matter on August 23. The police had started action by registering a case under POCSO.
Kejriwal’s PA Bibhav’s judicial custody extended till September 13; He was arrested on May 18 in Swati Maliwal assault case
Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court on Saturday (August 24) extended the judicial custody of Kejriwal’s PA Bibhav Kumar till September 13. The court has also sought a response from the police on the application filed by him, demanding the documents filed along with the charge sheet.
Bibhav is accused of assaulting AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal at the CM residence on May 13. He was arrested from CM House on May 18. Delhi Police filed a 500-page charge sheet against Bibhav Kumar on July 16.
Haryana BJP demands to change the date of elections, citing Chhutti-Bishnoi community in a letter written to the commission
Haryana’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has demanded a change in the dates of the assembly elections. Regarding this, BJP’s state president Mohan Lal Baroli has sent a letter to the Central Election Commission. In which he has given two major reasons including holidays for changing the dates of the elections.
Baroli said that 28th is Saturday and 29th is Sunday. Voting will take place on 1st October, while 2nd October is a holiday on account of Gandhi Jayanti. On the other hand, 3rd October is a holiday on account of Agrasen Jayanti. In such a situation, due to the 6-day long weekend, people can go on holidays.

One INSAS rifle with a loaded magazine, one 9mm pistol with an empty magazine, 5 HE-36 grenades with two rings, 23 rounds of ammunition, one helmet and detonator, one BP vest and 15 empty rounds were recovered at Wangjing.
At the same time, one AK assault rifle, .303 bolt action rifle, 12-bore single barrel gun, 9mm pistol with one magazine, .32 pistol with one magazine, INSAS LMG magazine, 7.62 mm LMG magazine, tube launcher, WP Smoke bomb, WT set, 11 HE-36 hand grenades, 8 detonators and many other weapons were seized from Venem, Kinou Maning, Ayokpa Khun area of Bishnupur district.
