The Nepal cricket team will take training at the NCA in Bengaluru as part of preparations for the Cricket World Cup League 2 series to be held in Canada.
After Afghanistan, BCCI has opened its doors for Nepal cricket team as well. BCCI has earlier allowed Afghanistan to host its matches in India, while for Nepal team, the board has opened the doors of National Cricket Academy (NCA). Nepal cricket team will take training at NCA in Bengaluru as part of preparations for Cricket World Cup League 2 series to be held in Canada.
The Nepal team will practice at the NCA for two weeks before going to Canada to play a triangular series. Oman team will also participate in this series along with Canada and Nepal. Nepal is currently at the sixth position in the League 2 table. Nepal Cricket Association wrote on X on Monday that, Nepal team is going to NCA to prepare for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 series. Training for two weeks at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru will improve the skills and strategy of our players. Let’s wish them all the best.
Nepal cricket team captain Rohit Paudel, Dipendra Singh Airee and Sandeep Lamichhane were recently playing in the Global T20 League in Canada. The Nepal team participated in some practice matches in India before the T20 World Cup played in the USA and West Indies. The team played against Gujarat and Baroda in Vapi during this period. The goal of the Nepal team will be to make it to the top four of the League 2 table by December 2026, so that the team can make it to the Cricket World Cup qualifiers. Failure to make it to the top four will force the team to play the CWC Qualifier Playoffs, from where the top four teams will make it to the CWC Qualifier.
