New Delhi. Australia’s pace trio bowled brilliantly in the first T20 match against Pakistan and gave the team a resounding victory. The first T20 match of the series was played in 7-7 overs. In this match, Australia, batting first, scored 93 runs for 4 wickets. In reply, Pakistan team could score 64 runs for 9 wickets in 7 overs and lost the match by 29 runs. In this victory of Australia, fast bowlers Xavier Bartlett, Nathan Ellis and Spencer Johnson played an important role, before whose lethal bowling the Pakistani batsmen surrendered. It was raining heavily in Brisbane since last night and there was lightning. Due to which the match started late.
Pakistan had a very bad start while chasing the target of 94 runs. Pakistan had suffered 5 setbacks on the score of 16. Opener Shahibzada Farhan was out after scoring 8 runs, while captain Mohammad Rizwan was not allowed to open his account by Xavier Bartlett. Babar Azam walked out after scoring 3 runs while Usman Khan and Agha Salman scored three runs each. Irrfan Khan was out without opening the account. Abbas Afridi scored unbeaten 20 runs in 10 balls. Shaheen Afridi contributed 11 runs. For Australia, fast bowlers Bartlett, Ellis and Spencer together took 7 wickets. Bartlett and Ellis took three wickets each, while Spencer took one wicket and spinner Adam Zampa took two wickets.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and invited Australia to bat first. Australia scored 93 runs in 7 overs on the basis of Glenn Maxwell’s 43 runs off 19 balls and Marcus Stoinis’ unbeaten 21 runs off 7 balls. Tim David contributed 10 runs. Openara McGurk returned to the pavilion after scoring 9 runs and Matthew Shott 7 runs. For Pakistan, Abbas Afridi took 2 wickets while Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf took one wicket each. The second T20 match of the series will be played in Sydney on 16 November.
