Two liquor smugglers jumped from the excise department’s vehicle in Araria, one died and one injured. The excise department had caught both the youths with a consignment of liquor from Araria-Nepal border.
Araria. In dry Bihar where liquor is prohibited, the illegal business of alcohol smuggling has become a way to earn more money in less time. Many unemployed youths are arrested every day for alcohol smuggling. Especially alcohol is being smuggled on a large scale from the Bihar and Nepal border. Although the excise department and police also take action, despite this, the greed of earning more from this illegal liquor business is proving fatal for the youth. The latest case is from Kuari in Araria where the excise department arrested two boys with a consignment of Nepali liquor. During this, the youth jumped from the police van, which took his life.
It is being told that after the action in Kuari, when two accused of liquor smuggling were being brought to Araria in the jeep of the excise department late at night, both the youths jumped from the van of the excise department which was moving at high speed. Both the youths were seriously injured in this accident. Both were immediately admitted to Kursakanta PHC where one youth was declared dead by the doctor, while the other has been sent to Araria Sadar Hospital for better treatment. The ASP of Araria has formed a team to investigate the matter.
Actually, the Excise Department was checking at the Kunwari check post of the district at around 1:30 last night. In this sequence, the Excise Department team caught two youths of Forbesganj riding a bike with Nepali liquor. The Excise Department team left for Araria with the two youths caught along with the liquor.
Meanwhile, near Dhadipar village of Kuari, both the youths jumped from the vehicle of the excise department. In which both the youths got seriously injured. Later one of the youths died, while the other youth is being treated in Araria Sadar Hospital. A large number of police force has been deployed in Sadar Hospital.
