Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Director Anant Ambani and bp CEO Murray Auchincloss inaugurated Jio-bp’s 500th EV charging station at the Jio World Center in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, to expand the electric vehicle (EV) charging network in India. Inaugurated. This station will provide convenient EV charging facilities to the people visiting Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, Jio World Plaza and Jio World Convention Centre.
On this occasion, Jio-bp announced the completion of the installation of 5,000 EV charging points across India. Jio-bp’s charging network has expanded rapidly in the last one year, from 1,300 to 5,000 charging points. 95% of the company’s charging stations offer fast-charging facilities, making it the fastest and most reliable EV charging network in the country.
Jio-bp has used high quality 480 KW chargers to reduce “range anxiety” among electric vehicle owners. These chargers provide fast charging experience at malls, public parking, corporate parks, hotels and other prominent places. Additionally, Jio-bp’s state-of-the-art mobile application ‘Jio-bp Pulse’ makes the charging process easier for EV owners.
On this occasion, Anant Ambani said, “Jio-bp is playing an important role in rapidly promoting EV adoption in India. “With the largest network of fast-charging stations and the fastest growth of EV charging infrastructure, Jio-bp is providing an innovative digital charging solution to millions of Indians.”
