An asteroid as big as an airplane is moving rapidly towards Earth, NASA is also shocked, people are alerted

Asteroid Coming Towards to Earth: Although we always hear that some asteroid is coming towards the earth from space, but it passes through a safe distance from our planet. This is a type of space event, but many times this event gives a lot of information to NASA’s ‘Near Earth Object’ team, which studies space objects coming towards the earth. Recently, NASA has told about an aeroplane-sized asteroid passing through the earth. It has been named 2024 ON2, it is going to pass close to the earth on 12 August Indian time i.e. 13 August today. Earlier scientists were worried that if it collided with the earth, it could cause huge destruction, but it is not so. This asteroid will pass at a distance of about 4180000 miles (67 lakh kilometers) from the earth. It is not that this distance is very far. If we understand in astronomical terms, then this is a very close distance from the earth.

It was discovered last month by NASA’s Pan-STARRS1 telescope in Hawaii Island (an island state/city of America in the Pacific Ocean). Since its discovery, it is being closely observed by advanced radar and optical telescopes from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasidina, California, so that it can be known about the danger it may pose to the earth in the future.

Asteroid 2024 oN2 which will pass near the Earth at a speed of 33000 miles per hour. NASA scientists said that this asteroid will not hit the Earth but will pass very close. But, when it will not hit the Earth, then what is the need to study it. NASA said that scientists will get information about its composition, structure and behavior. This will be beneficial in dealing with the challenges arising from an asteroid hitting the Earth in the future.

NASA said that despite being huge in size and passing very close to the Earth, this asteroid poses no threat to our planet. The agency said that there is no chance of this asteroid colliding with the Earth, it will just pass by it.

However, space agencies of many countries study such asteroids together when they pass close to the Earth, so that future threats from them can be predicted in advance. Also, their study gives an opportunity to know the unresolved aspects of the solar system and also gives information about what is happening around the planets.
