Whereas the positions of all the other batsmen are not decided. Under the vice-captaincy of Akshar Patel, Team India will start the T20 series against England from January 22.

When asked about the frequent changes in the batting order, Akshar said, “It is not just about me but applies to everyone in the team.” From the beginning of 2024, we had decided that the opening pair would be fixed while everyone from number three to number seven would be sent according to the situation of the match.

Akshar said, “There is no fixed order that any batsman will play in the same position. This applies to everyone between number three and number seven. It will be decided in the practice session who will play where. It is important to use the right batsman at the right time in T20 cricket. It has only been a day since I arrived here. We (captain Suryakumar Yadav, head coach Gautam Gambhir and Akshar himself) have talked. Not much has changed. We have the right T20 team and there is not much pressure.
