Lucknow, July 02, 2024 — At his official residence in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the 2023 batch of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) trainees in a noteworthy and inspirational conversation. Held on Tuesday, the gathering sought to provide direction and support to the young officers starting their administrative careers.

CM Yogi Adityanath underlined in the conference the need of giving public concerns top priority and preserving honesty in their job. He asked the officials about the fieldwork they had done throughout their training and exhorted them to provide creative answers to problems they come across. “No problem of the common man should be considered small as it holds significant importance to those affected,” he said, underlining the need of immediately attending to public complaints.


Yogi Adityanath underlined the need of developing public confidence by means of open and continuous communication. To establish a distinctive and commendable reputation, he counseled the officials on treating people well and upholding honesty in their work. “Solving these problems is not just a duty, but a way to earn the trust of the public,” he stated, exhorting the officials to remain in touch with people at the grassroots level1.


The Chief Minister further underlined the need of quick decisions and the bad effects of procrastinating. He exhorted the officials to pay attention to victim complaints and cultivate the practice of acting fast. Emphasizing the need of proactive problem-solving, he pointed out that the complaints received by the IGRS-CM Helpline often reach higher authorities since they are not sufficiently addressed at the local level.

Yogi Adityanath counsell the trainee officials to develop a reading and learning habit constantly. He underlined the need of personally reading government orders (GOs) issued instead of depending on others since this would offer a different viewpoint and enable the information to be applied. As administrative officers, he urged the officials to lead good behavior, thereby inspiring their subordinates.

Construction of Model Villages

The Chief Minister advised the officials in his last words to make villages self-reliant and think about creating model villages. Hoping that the officials would carry on the values of good governance and public service in their careers, he sent his best wishes to them and offered insightful direction.
