US President Donald Trump said in a statement on Sunday that Russia’s President Vladimir Putin wants to end the Ukraine Jung. Trump told reporters that the time has not been decided yet, but he will meet Putin soon.
Earlier, Trump spoke with Putin over the phone on 17 February. During this time there was a discussion on ending the war between the two. Both spoke for about one and a half hours. Trump had reported that he could meet Putin in Saudi Arabia.
During the conversation, Putin also invited Trump to come to Moscow.
During the election campaign, Donald Trump claimed to end the war in 24 hours of the oath.
Ukraine and Russia leaders reached UAE
Ukrainian President Volodimir Jailonsky arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) late on Sunday night. Here diplomatic activities for ending Russia-Ukraine war and peace talks are intensifying.
Apart from Jailonsky, Russia’s Deputy PM Denis Manturov has also visited UAE.
Manturov met UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Both spoke on increasing the strategic partnership between Russia-UAE. Between the two, information about any conversation related to ending Ukraine war has not been revealed.
On the other hand, the agenda of Jailonski’s UAE tour has also not been revealed. UAE is hosting the International Defense Exhibition and Conference (Idex). There is an exhibition of weapons of both Russia and Ukraine.
Jelnsky has arrived in UAE with his wife Olena Jailonska. He was welcomed by UAE minister Al Hashimi at the airport.
External Affairs Minister Marco Rubio Delegation will lead
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will lead the US delegation (delegation) for direct talks with Russian officials in Saudi Arabia. In this negotiation, solutions will be found to eliminate Russia-Ukraine battle for 3 years.
The news agency AP said to an American official that the talks will also include US National Security Advice (NSA) Michael Walts and Special Envoy Steve Witchoff.

Land swapped with Russia
Ukraine’s President Jailonsky said on 11 February that Ukraine was ready to exchange land with Russia to stop the war. In an interview to the British newspaper The Guardian, Jailonsky said that it is possible if Trump, Russia and Ukraine are successful in bringing it on one platform.
Jailonsky also admitted that he could not fight war without American help. He said that there are some people who say that Europe can protect Ukraine even without America. But it is not true. Ukraine’s security is not possible without America.
Ukraine capture Russian land for 7 months
In August 2024, Ukraine attacked Russia’s Cursa and captured the area of about 1300 square kilometers. However, Russia retaliated and acquired about half the lost land. However, Jailonsky said Ukraine still occupies a large Russian area. He will use it for a deal with Russia.
