Both of them added 454 runs for the fourth wicket which is a new record for England. Pakistan had scored 556 runs in the first innings but its batsmen faltered in the second innings. By the end of the fourth day’s play, Pakistan had scored 152 runs for 6 wickets in its second innings and needed 115 runs to avoid defeat in the innings. It is extremely hot in Multan. England’s batsmen are troubled by the heat here. After scoring a double century, Joe Root was seen drying his underwear near the boundary at the end of the fourth day’s play.
