2 new international stadiums will be ready soon in UP, Green Park will also be rejuvenated, UPCA took big decisions


Kanpur: There is a good news for the cricket lovers here. Now soon there will be a chance to watch ODI and T20 matches at Green Park Stadium. Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has planned to rejuvenate the Green Park Stadium. Under this, the spectator capacity will be increased and a new drainage system will be installed, so that after the rain, the field can be dried as soon as possible and the match can be restarted. This decision has been taken in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of UPCA.

New stadium being built in Varanasi
UPCA Secretary Arvind Srivastava informed that the construction of the stadium is going on at a fast pace in Varanasi also. The progress report of Varanasi Stadium was also presented in the AGM. Along with this, boundary wall is being built around the stadium being built in Ghaziabad, and Ghaziabad Cricket Association is being formed. BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla was also present in this meeting.

T20 league will be organized again in Kanpur
UPCA had started T20 league for the players of the state to showcase their talent. Its first tournament was organized in Kanpur and the second in Lucknow. Now the third T20 league will be organized again in Kanpur. Arvind Srivastava said that the objective of UPCA is to give opportunities to more and more players from Uttar Pradesh at the national level, so that they can make their place in the Indian team and tournaments like IPL. Former Indian cricketer Praveen Kumar has also been included in the selection committee of UPCA, which will provide better guidance to the players.
